Camping in Door County

Another part of Adam's week off we spent camping up in Door County. It was a 3 1/2 hour drive from our home and really worth it. The only way we can describe it is kind of like what Bear Lake could be if they made it cute and more tourist/artist friendly and way more green. Everyone there was on bikes riding around.
We camped there on Monday and Tuesday. We got there early afternoon on Monday. We set up camp, made dinner, had s'mores, then showered the kids off (boy did they need it!)

That night went to watch at least 200 bats fly out of this house for the night. It was amazing to watch. Which is what these pictures are from. They flew so close to the onlookers, but didn't touch anyone amazingly. We then went to a presentation talking about the meteor shower that was going on that night... the kids crashed before we actually saw the shower though.

The next two days we did some sight seeing and playing at the beaches right by there.

Boys and camping= heaven. Why you may ask? DIRT! Seth and Caleb would plop themselves down the the most dusty, dirty pile and then commence to dig and throw dirt. This is Caleb helping to wash dishes. Not the most hygienic picture.
