It's a Girl!

Here's announcing the birth of Lucie Joy Taintor. Everything went well and mother and child are well. The labor was difficult on the dad but he has since recovered. As for the stats:

When: Today, December 18th at 3:43 pm
Where: St. Joseph's Hospital, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Weight: 5 lbs 9 oz
Length: 19 inches

All with the help of a pitocin drip, a well-placed epidural, and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" to help time fly. Proud siblings Kennedy, Seth & Caleb couldn't be more pleased.

This little ditty was made by my friend Joey Wilson. I thought I should pass it along.

Great game last night.

Get Out and Vote

Gotta love this time of year. The beautiful fall leaves, the crispness of the air and the excitement of presidential politics.

No matter what your stripes, get out and vote. Danielle and I took advantage of early voting here in Wisconsin and are eagerly awaiting the results.

Picking Apples

On Saturday we went to a place called "The Elegant Farmer". All over around here they have these big orchards that you can go and pick your own fruit. We went on a hay ride, picked our own apples (40 lbs. worth) from all these trees containing at least 10 different kinds of apples. You could eat and sample all you wanted while you were picking so you would know what kind of apples you liked. I think I ended up eating at least 6 apples, I know Caleb ate 2 1/2. They were just all so good.
After picking we went to the barn and had some carmel apples. The kids loved it and so did we.

Zoo

The kids had Friday off of school...a "Banking Day"? whatever that is. Anyway, we spent the morning cleaning rooms and packing away summer clothes, etc. but then when we were finally done we went to the zoo and as an added bonus, Adam was able to leave work early and come with us. It was a beautiful autumn day.
